Officials with Washington State Ferries will host a series of community meetings in May and June to talk about new ferries, a vehicle reservations system, using liquefied natural gas as a potential fuel for the fleet and other ferry issues.

Ferries Division Assistant Secretary David Moseley will also give a brief presentation on system-wide and route-specific issues. The meetings will also include a question-and-answer session.

The community meeting on Bainbridge Island is 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 17 at the Bainbridge Island Art Museum.

Subsequent meetings will be held in Southworth, Port Orchard, Vashon Island, Bremerton, Kingston, Friday Harbor, Port Townsend, Central Whidbey Island, Clinton and Anacortes.
