Commodore principal search wrapping up

April 7, 2012 · Updated 10:37 AM

The Bainbridge Island School District is getting closer to finding a new principal for Commodore Options School.

District spokeswoman Pam Keyes said 35 people had said they were interested in the position, and the district received 23 completed applications.

Five finalists were interviewed last week, and Keyes said the top candidates would be selected and interviewed over spring break.

The district expects to announce the finalist for the position after April 9.

The salary for the position ranges from $101,816 to $107,175.

Commodore Options School is home to three different programs that serve roughly 300 students. It includes the Odyssey Program, for approximately 120 students in grades one through eight; Eagle Harbor High School, for approximately 125 students in grades nine through 12; and the Mosaic Home Education Partnership, for students who get their education outside the traditional classroom setting.
