To commemorate the renovation of the Morales Farmhouse on Lovgreen Road, Friends of the Farms and PHC Construction will host a celebration to thank the businesses and volunteers who helped renovate the 1953 farmhouse to Silver LEED standards. The event is from 1-4 p.m. March 24, on the corner of Lovgreen Road and Hwy 305.
The house was completely renovated and restored thanks to generous support of almost $75,000 from PHC Construction and other local businesses. The renovation and restoration of the home will make it possible for farm interns to work in close proximity to local farms. This project enables Friends of the Farms to further their mission to restore farm housing and to promote and preserve the economic diversity and rural agricultural heritage of Bainbridge Island.
