SLIDESHOW | Bainbridge Island enjoys wintery rerun

March 6, 2012 · 1:45 PM

Bainbridge Island residents awoke Tuesday to a fresh dusting of snow.

Some neighborhoods reported as much as a half-inch of the white stuff, but warming temperatures and sunshine left little evidence of the early March snowfall by lunchtime.

The temperature on the island is expected to fall to near the freezing point overnight, with a low of 33, according to the National Weather Service office in Seattle.

Warmer temperatures are forecast for later in the week. Wednesday is expected to be sunny, with a high near 46, and sunny weather is also expected Thursday, with a high near 56.
