A Bainbridge Island man, George R. Miller, 24, has been accused of two separate incidents of felony sexual assault – the rape of an adult woman and the molestation of an 7-year-old girl.
According to the Kitsap County Prosecutor’s Office, the alleged rape occurred last weekend at a residence on High School Road. The incident with the 7-year-old girl occurred in the bathroom of the Safeway on High School Road in June 2011.
Miller admitted to the incident with the child at the Safeway bathroom to Bainbridge Island police detectives, but he has denied the rape accusation.
Miller said he had sexual contact with the woman, but did not have sex with her. He said that the woman did not ask him to stop or otherwise indicate that she wanted him to stop.
The woman had a sexual assault exam which found signs that she did have sexual intercourse.
The case is being prosecuted by the Kitsap County District Court. Miller’s court date has been set for Feb. 23. Bail has been set at $250,000 for each case.
