Enjoy an afternoon of music June 5 to kick off a month-long Celebration of Japanese Culture at Bloedel Reserve.  Taiko drummers will perform at 11:30 a.m.; from 1-3 p.m. the Uguisi-kai Mixed Chorus Group from Bremerton will perform traditional Japanese songs and dances; at 3 p.m. the Evergreen Glee Club will sing Japanese songs. Bloedel will donate a portion of the proceeds from admission fees to aid disaster victims in Japan.

In the Bloedel Mansion Visitor Center music students from Bainbridge High School will perform classical music for piano and cello from 12:15-1:30 p,m. Musicians include Katie Kuffel, Eve Wiggins, Lina Schmidt and Elliot Pearl-Sacks. Adults $13, seniors and military $9, students $5, children under 13 free.
