The city estimated it incurred $190,000 worth of damages as a result of the Dec. 12 rainfall.

According to Public Works Director Lance Newkirk, at least three inches of precipitation fell in a 24-hour period and coincided with a seasonally high tide of 12 feet, which led to several small problems around the island.

Damages included pipes, roads and at least two localized landslides.
