The Bainbridge Island School District Board of Directors announced the selection of Tim Kinkead as the new director from the fourth district Friday. Kinkead will take over the remaining year of Dave Pollock’s position, district spokeswoman Pam Keyes said in a press release.

Pollock, who served for seven years, announced his resignation in July, citing increased professional responsibilities. The resignation took effect Thursday.

The remaining four directors interviewed five candidates Tuesday, Keyes said, and Kinkead will be sworn in at the Sept. 9 meeting.

According to the press release, Kinkead is a Blakely and Sakai parent and two-year member of the District Budget Advisory Committee.
