Spartans get timely shooting to defeat pesky Hale Friday at home. Nick Fling got to punctuate his 18th birthday celebration with a dunk Friday night. Unfortunately, one of the officials was in a giving mood as well, whistling Fling for a technical foul for hanging on the rim. The call was one of the few low points for Bainbridge as they put forth a much better effort on its home court in defeating Nathan Hale 71-44 in front of a good sized crowd.

As season winds down, Spartans ready for the postseason. With the season coming to a close, the Bainbridge girls’ swim and dive team are starting to turn their focus toward the postseason. They lost to Newport 98-88 on Tuesday, but rebounded to defeat Mt. Rainier on Friday. Head coach Greg Colby said the team has been swimming better as of late.

Both teams struggle in quest for Metro titles. BEACON HILL, SEATTLE – It was a day that quickly turned into a “sisyphistic challenge” as Bob Dwyer put it. For the Bainbridge boys’ and girls’ golf teams, they couldn’t have had a harder time if they spent the day rolling golf balls uphill with their hands as they struggled with horrible weather conditions at the Metro League championship tournament at Jefferson Golf Course on Beacon Hill in Seattle Thursday.
