To the editor: Given the first contested school board election in 12 years, we took the time to critically review the candidate platforms of Mike Spence and Dale Perry. In doing so, we were reminded of the mathematical witticism: “My head is in the oven, my behind is in the freezer, so ‘on average,’ I’m comfortable.”
