Good news: This weekend’s rain on Bainbridge Island won’t keep going into the middle of next week.

Bad news: The rain will turn to snow.

That’s the latest forecast from the Seattle office of the National Weather Service.

Bainbridge Island is expected to see showers early Saturday, with a chance of showers turning to rain after 10 a.m.

The day will be cloudy, with a high near 50 degrees. Forecasters predict the chance of precipitation at 50 percent.

More rain is likely Saturday night, with the thermometer dropping to a low around 38.

On Sunday, more rain is likely before 10 a.m., with showers again likely afterward. The day will stay cloudy, with the chance of precipitation pegged at 70 percent. The high will be near 46.

Rain mixed with snow is expected Monday, with a chance of snow showers continuing through Tuesday.
