The Bainbridge Island Farmers Market will host its Tomato Taste Off at noon Saturday, Aug. 25.

Local residents and farmers are urged to bring their finest cherry, heirloom and beefsteak tomatoes to the market for consideration.

A “surprise guest chef” will be on hand to judge the entrees and pick the best one.
