The King is back on the big screen

Get ready for a hunk, a hunk of burning love.

Elvis Presley will return to the silver screen of many theaters around the world, including here on Bainbridge Island, for a special revival of “Elvis Unleashed,” featuring previously unseen footage of the King as he filmed the iconic “68 Comeback Special.”

The movie (110 minutes long) will be screened one-night-only at Bainbridge Cinemas, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10.

Each screening will include a new 30-minute segment with Los Angeles Times lead music writer Randy Lewis in conversation with actor Dennis Quaid, rising pop/country artist Jade Jackson and Steve Binder, the esteemed director and producer of the “68 Elvis Comeback Special,” to discuss Presley’s life and legacy.
