Bainbridge Cinemas and Cook Family Funeral Home will present a free Toys for Tots benefit screening of “The Polar Express” at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.

Tom Hanks and director Robert Zemeckis reunited for this film, an inspiring adventure based on the beloved children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg.

When a doubting young boy takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe.

Cook Family Funeral Home sponsors the U.S. Marine Corps Toys For Tots program every year. In 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, more than 500 new toys were received by the community and given to children in need.

The 2016 drive kicked off in November and ends Wednesday, Dec. 21. Donors can bring toy donations to the funeral home. They will also be collecting funds and food to benefit Helpline House.
