Students share immigration stories

Students from The Island School will present the special program “Paved With Gold: Building Opportunities” at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 24 in the school’s Webster Hall.

The show is a series of immigration stories, songs and dramatic pieces based on family experiences of The Island School’s fifth-grade class.

Students will reenact journeys from many countries in the popular program, presented annually for 10 years now. “Paved with Gold” tells the unique story of this group of talented performers, and all ages are welcome to the free program.

The Island School is located at 8553 NE Day Road.
