Free Range Films will be showing an award-winning documentary that premiered on Earth Day this year, “Awake, A Dream from Standing Rock,” at 7 p.m. Friday, June 30 at the Suquamish Church of Christ (18732 Division Ave., Suquamish).

This film tells the story of the “#NODAPL” Native-led resistance against construction of the $3.7 billion Dakota Access Pipeline under the Missouri River at the Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota.

A discussion will follow, focusing on the lessons learned from Standing Rock.

The screening is free and open to the public.
