‘Solo’ soars onto island’s silver screen

The latest installment in the ever-expanding Star Wars cinematic universe, “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” will screen at Bainbridge Cinemas at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 24.

Prepare to once again board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in an adventure with the younger version of the man who would become the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy.

Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo) and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.

The film is raged PG-13 and has a two-hour, 15-minute runtime.
