Seattle Flamenco icon returns to Bainbridge Island

Seattle-based Flamenco dancer Savannah Fuentes will bring her her latest show “Luz: An evening of Flamenco” to Bainbridge Island’s Grange Hall at 8 p.m. Monday, March 4 as part of a 27-date tour through Washington, California, Oregon and Nevada.

She will be joined by two exceptional Spanish Flamenco artists: acclaimed Spanish-Romani guitarist Pedro Cortes and singer/percussionist/dancer Jose Moreno.

Tickets for the all-ages performance, $22 for general admission, $34 for VIP seating and $8 for children, are available now at www.brownpapertickets.com.

Fuentes last visited Bainbridge in September with her show “Diamantes de Color.”

Born in Seattle to parents of Puerto Rican and Irish ancestry, she is reportedly one of the only touring artists in the Pacific Northwest region with strong links to flamenco culture.

She studies both baile (flamenco dance) and cante (flamenco singing) and has toured throughout Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Utah, Montana, Idaho and Arizona

She has independently produced more than 250 performances and workshops featuring internationally recognized Spanish Flamenco artists such as Jose Anillo, Saray Munoz, Jesus Montoya, and Juanarito, and has studied with artists such as Guadiana, Joaquin Grilo, Eva Yerbabuena, El Farru and Isabel Bayon.

The Bainbridge Grange Hall is at 10340 Madison Ave. NE.
