Register now for Kids in Space camp

Campers can blast off at the Kids in Space camp at Kids Discovery Museum, coming 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21 through Thursday, Aug. 24.

Aspiring astronauts will kick off the week by observing the rare solar eclipse and learn more about this event by experimenting with shadows.

They will blast off in a rocket ship, walk on the moon, and play in a mission control center.

Campers will make telescopes and explore space-themed books to learn about the phases of the moon and constellations. They will travel to the moon and back, and discover the solar system through hands-on experiments, games, pretend play and art activities.

The camp is for children ages 3½ to 6. The fee is $140 for members, $165 for non-members.
