Planetarium show features star stories of epic heroes and monsters

Astronomer Dave Fong will share stories of ancient heros and monsters depicted in the starry night at the planetarium show “Star Stories – Epic Heroes and Monsters” at the Edwin E. Ritchie Observatory at Battle Point Park.

The show is 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9 at the observatory. Admission is free to members of the Battle Point Astronomical Association ; a $2 donation is suggested for nonmembers, $5 for families.

If the sky is clear, astronomers will be on hand with telescopes.

BPAstro Kids will join Dr. Erica Saint Clair from 4 to 6 p.m. and learn how to create, lift and move big objects with simple supplies.

The Battle Point Astronomical Association is a nonprofit amateur astronomy organization that operates the Ritchie Observatory and John H. Rudolph Planetarium in the Helix House at Battle Point Park, 11299 Arrow Point Drive NE.
