The Olympic College Jazz Band will make a special appearance at the Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island dinner meeting at the Wing Point Country Club later this month.

The performance is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, and Rotary members say the extremely rare appearance is open to the public.

The jazz program at Olympic College is one of the first in the nation. Many well-known musicians have passed through the program including, Quincy Jones, Kenny G and Rufus Reid, to name just a few.

This unique dinner meeting includes a sizzling jazz set by the Olympic College Jazz Band under the direction of Rick White. There is a charge and reservations are required due to limited public seating.

The cost is $25 and includes the Wing Point buffet dinner and program; RSVP by Dec. 11 to Kate Smith at jksmith6225@gmail.com.
