“BOSTON: An American Running Story” will sprint onto the silver screen for a special one-night-only screening at Bainbridge Cinemas at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 19.

The film chronicles the story of the iconic marathon from its humble origins, starting with only 15 runners, to the present day. In addition to highlighting the race as the oldest annually contested marathon in the world, “BOSTON” showcases many of the most important moments in more than a century of the event’s history.

Evolving from a working man’s challenge to welcoming foreign athletes and eventually women, the film becomes the stage for many firsts and in no small part the event that paved the way for the modern marathon and mass participatory sports.

Fans will also get to see behind-the-scenes footage.

Tickets, $12.50 each, are now available. Visit www.farawayentertainment.com for more information.
