Lecture explores the fungus among us

Mushroom Mania is returning to IslandWood, and pre-registration has started for those who want to explore the world of underground mycelium.

IslandWood will host a lecture on the natural history of fungus with the Kitsap Peninsula Mycological Society from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7.

Organizers note it is a seated evening event,and children are welcome too.

The cost is $5/person. Register at www.islandwood.org.
