Kathryn Claire plays live in Lynwood Saturday

With her violin and voice at the center of her music, Kathryn Claire weaves together stories and melodies rooted in her classical and traditional musical background while infusing each song and composition with an energy and electricity that is palpable.

The violinist/vocalist will perform at the Treehouse Café at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15.

Claire’s musicality and joy on stage has been described as infectious. Honest and poetic writing, crystalline vocals, impassioned violin compositions, and an ability to move seamlessly across genres, are the hallmark of Claire’s original and diverse sound.

Claire has spent years cultivating her own style and approach to music as a violinist, guitar player, singer and songwriter. A consummate collaborator, she has shared the stage with many musicians, bringing her musicality and charismatic presence to each project she works with. She has toured and performed extensively in the United States, Japan, the Netherlands, India, Belgium and France.

Joining her for the Treehouse show is pianist and percussionist Don Henson, who was featured on “Bones Will Last” and has toured extensively with Claire in the Pacific Northwest. His band, Sneakin Out, has played various stages with Pink Martini, on The Tonight Show (with Jay Leno) and played Carnegie Hall.

Admission, for those 21-and-older only, is $15 for reserved table seating. Visit www.treehousebainbridge.com to learn more and purchase.
