Island faves to rock BIMA auditorium

Ranger and the Re-Arrangers will bring their perennially popular brand of Gypsy jazz back to the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art auditorium for a concert featuring special guest guitarist Kevin Connor at 7 p.m. Friday, May 19.

Connor is a member of Gypsy jazz ensemble Hot Club Sandwich. His arrangements can be heard on all five of their albums, and his composition “Gaucho” was featured on NPR’s “All Things Considered.”

He also leads the SuperSones, a Cuban Septet.

The concert will feature music from Ranger and the Re-Arrangers repertoire of swing standards and traditional Gypsy melodies.

Admission is free, though reservations are recommended. Email info@RangerSwings.com to save your seats.
