Hawkins earns high honors at Boise State University

Kolin Hawkins of Bainbridge Island, a freshman who is majoring in mechanical engineering at Boise State University, has earned highest honors in its mechanical and biomedical engineering program.

His achievement merits his inclusion in the College of Engineering dean’s list, according to Amy Moll, Dean of the College of Engineering at Boise State University.

Hawkins graduated from Bainbridge High in June 2016, and was a three-year team member, drive team coach and co-captain of the Bainbridge High School Spartronics 4915 FRC Robotics team. He also was a recipient of the Bainbridge Kiwanis Bob Drew Scholarship.

The outstanding scholar is the son of Kyanne and Kevin Hawkins of Bainbridge Island, and his brother Korey Hawkins is a junior at the University of Washington.
