Fall sign-ups start this week for Bainbridge park activities

The fall catalog is out for the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District, with lots of new activities to consider.

The fall catalog is out for the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District, with lots of new activities to consider.

For youth, there are clinics for gymnasts and divers who want to improve their flips and take offs, after school adventures with the Muckabout Academy and barn days at the Bainbridge Island Riding School.

Adults can take Saturday morning pottery classes, play masters basketball or compete on a four-person cornhole team.

New lap swim hour are also in effect at both of the Aquatic Center pools (8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Ray Williamson, 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at Don Nakata) as well as new family swim times at Don Nakata (6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday).

Registration opens at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31.
