Dysfunctional drama comes to BPA

A vanished father.

A pill-popping mother.

Three sisters harboring shady little secrets.

When the Weston family unexpectedly reunites after Dad disappears, their Oklahoman homestead explodes in a maelstrom of repressed truths and unsettling secrets in “August: Osage County,” coming to the Bainbridge Performing Arts stage Friday, March 17 through Sunday, April 2.

Island Treasure awardee Kate Carruthers leads a show-stopping cast featuring Gianni Truzzi, Barbara Deering, Ann Ellis, Melissa Fenwick, Carrie Morgan, Jennifer Pippin-Montanez, McKenna Sanford, Kalea Salvador, Wayne Purves, Pete Benson, Geoff Schmidt, Geoff Finney and Rob Burke.

Winner of the 2008 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award, “August: Osage County” is produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service.

Shows will be 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays (exception: the Saturday, April 1 performance will be a 3 p.m. matinee), plus 3 p.m. Sundays. The run includes a pay-what-you-can preview at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 16 and the opening night reception is 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 17.

Box Office hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and one hour prior to each performance.
