‘Celadine’ at Rolling Bay Hall

The Lesser-Known Players will return to Rolling Bay Hall for another quirky production: “Celadine,” by Charles Evered.

The show will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 23 through Saturday, March 25 and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 26.

“As per our custom, ‘Celadine’ is the kind of offbeat work that isn’t normally found in Kitsap County,” said Lesser-Known Players spokeswoman Jennifer Hodges.

“It’s a modern play set in a coffeehouse in London in 1670. It features some elements typical of Restoration-era comedies — witty dialogue, period costume, sword fights, romance — but mixes it up with a feminist slant and, well, let’s just say just a little bit of cross-dressing and some rather bawdy humor,” she said.

The cast includes Hodges, Tom Challinor, Gary Fetterplace, Christine Lange and Derek Villanueva.

Tickets are $20 each for seniors and students, $25 each for general admission. Visit www.celadine.bpt.me to purchase in advance, and save 20 percent by using the promotional code “Webbie.”
