Cast announced for BPA’s ‘Romeo & Juliet’

Bainbridge Performing Arts has announced the cast of its upcoming Summertime Shakespeare production of “Romeo & Juliet,” coming to Bloedel Reserve July 13 through July 29.

Esteemed local director Kate Carruthers leads an ensemble of newcomers and BPA favorites, including Gavin Michaels (Romeo), Keara Dooley (Juliet), Michala Hansen (Lady Capulet), Connor Kinzer (Tybalt), Dylan Zucati (Mercutio), David Breyman (Benvolio), Kristi Ann Jacobson (Nurse), Gary Fetterplace (Friar), Victoria Brown, Jean Sleight, Citori Luecht, Kristopher Jones, Fred Saas and Robert Craighead.

One of the Bard’s most popular romantic tragedies, “Romeo & Juliet” famously centers on a long feud between the Montague and Capulet families that disrupts the city of Verona and causes tragic results for Romeo and Juliet. Revenge, love, and a secret marriage force the young star-crossed lovers to grow up quickly — and fate causes them to take their own lives in despair.

The production is suitable for all ages.

Performances are July 13–29, Thursday through Sundays, with a pay-what-you-can preview on Thursday, July 12.

All performances begin at 7 p.m., and tickets are available at 206-842-8569 or www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org.
