Beloved Ranger and the Re-Arrangers to rock BIMA

Perennially popular island-based Gypsy rockers Ranger and the Re-Arrangers will play a special free concert with guest saxophonist Michael Gurule at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 in the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art auditorium.

Gurule studied classical saxophone at Western Washington University, where he earned a degree in composition and performance, and a master’s degree in conducting. In 2016, he performed at the prestigious Djangofest Northwest with his Gypsy jazz group, Nuages.

The concert will feature music from Ranger and the Re-Arrangers’ repertoire of swing standards and traditional Gypsy melodies.
