BARN offers short story class beginning in February

Take your short story from a draft to a finished product in an upcoming BARN class led by Warren Read.

In just 10 weeks, the author and professional educator will teach aspiring writers everything they need to know about the publishing process, from key attributes of the short story, such as character development and dialogue, to critical steps like the final edit. There will be in-class prompts, homework assignments and individualized feedback.

Sessions run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 9 through April 13. Registration is $375 for BARN members and $425 for non-members at www.bainbridgebarn.org/studios/writers.

Read is the associate principal of Sonoji Sakai Intermediate School and Ordway Elementary School. He is also the author of “The Lyncher in Me: A Search for Redemption in the Face of History.”
