Olivia Mitchell and John Sobeck of Eagle Harbor High School have been selected to attend a Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Seminar.

The seminar is geared to helping young people carry forward an exciting program of self-discovery.

The conference, which will be held at Pacific Lutheran University on March 16-19, will consist of nationally renowned speakers who emphasize leadership, motivation and communication skills, as well as recreation and fellowship.

This marks the 48th year of the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards in Western Washington sponsored and organized by Rotarians.

More than 4,500 students have had the opportunity to participate in the four-day leadership conference. This year there will be approximately 120 students from Vancouver Island and the Puget Sound area attending.

The seminars are designed for young adults with proven leadership ability and a commitment to community service, and the Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island is proud to sponsor these two students.
