Wildsmith offers a fresh perspective | Letter to the editor

To the editor:

My wife and I strongly support the candidacy of Grayson Wildsmith.

Some see his youth as a disadvantage, but we see it as his greatest strength. He is the only candidate who can bring the voice, ideals, and optimism of a young adult to the deliberations of our city council as it works to address and shape an island future that he and his peers will inherit.

Grayson is no stranger to public service. Indeed, he wants to make it his life’s work, and has already compiled an impressive level of service to our community while a student at Bainbridge High School and Gonzaga University. More about his accomplished history can be found on his website, wildsmith4council.com.

Perhaps the thing that we like best about Grayson is his commitment to work with his fellow councilmembers to restore the level of professional civility and ethical behavior that we all want and expect from our elected officials. He has modeled this conduct during his campaign through his candor and preparation. There is no doubt that his only agenda as a council person will be to work hard every day to listen to, learn from, and work with his constituents and fellow councilmembers to do what is best for our Island.
