Quality Bainbridge offers candidate info | Letter to the editor

To the editor:

We are writing to let your readers know that Quality Bainbridge has published its 2019 candidate questions, and the answers provided by candidates for city council, park district board, school board and fire district. For over six years, Quality Bainbridge has sought to help inform fellow islanders about issues and activities that matter to many of us: our environment, our government(s), and infrastructure (www.qualitybainbridge.org/2019-elections).

We encourage islanders to be informed and engaged in local issues and find opportunities to participate in the governing and nonprofit agencies that affect our daily lives.

To this end, we formulate questions before the general elections for all candidates, send them out to them, and invite them to respond. We post their answers on our site so that voters will have another avenue to inform their decisions.

Every election is important, and those who offer to serve in these challenging roles will spend hours of their time in their duties as elected officials. They will also make decisions that impact all of us and future generations of islanders. We hope our questions and the candidates’ answers assist you in making choices that reflect your concerns for our community, both present and future.

JOHN ELLIS, MARADEL GALE, JULIET LeDORZE, ANITA ROCKEFELLER, GLORIA SAYLER, DELIGHT WILLING
