To the editor:

Prior to their last meeting, the city council sent out an email stating that they expected to turn down the Sound to Olympics Bridge. And then voted for it.

I didn’t attend the meeting based on that misleading email and still feel that a bridge over Highway 305 is no way to welcome visitors (who wish to leave the concrete jungle across the water) to our Island.

It will benefit only a few visitors, although Vineyard Lane residents may also benefit. For the rest of us it will be an eyesore.
