Jones is the best candidate from the South Ward | Letter to the editor

To the editor:

Ted Jones, as a professional civil engineer and a project and program manager, has a deep understanding of public works and budget planning.

Ted is serving our community now on the city’s Utility Advisory Committee. Ted recognizes the reality of climate change and believes that Bainbridge Island should push PSE towards 100 percent clean and reliable power. Ted’s environmental stewardship involves protecting our trees, beaches, streams and farms.

Ted has been an island resident for 20 years, so he knows our island and appreciates its values. Ted will work to restore roads and expanding non-motorized transportation routes.

Ted believes in quality affordable housing and living wage jobs.

Ted is a seasoned problem solver who carefully learns the facts on an issue, listens well, and then makes a reasoned decision based on the values that we share as islanders. Ted will increase our trust in city hall with transparency, smart decisions and reliable service. A vote for Ted for city council is a vote for experience, leadership and integrity.
