Happy ending for our missing Misty | Letter to the editor

To the editor:

Wednesday morning, our dog Misty disappeared.

We began to compose a “LOST!” poster when a call came from Winslow Animal Clinic. “Not to worry. Misty’s hanging out with us. Pick her up any time.” Her implanted chip had supplied her name and our phone number. By 11 a.m. she was back home.

A big thank-you to PAWS’ “Kitsap Lost Pets” program, to the Good Samaritan who picked her up and to the Winslow Animal Clinic. What a caring community we live in!

I hope readers know if they lose or find a pet they can go online to Kitsap Lost Pets.org for information or to the PAWS website pawsbink.org and click on “Lost and Found” or call 206-842-2451.

Coincidentally, this week happens to be National Pet Identification Week, so if your pet needs a chip, call your clinic. And better yet, send a donation to PAWS.
