Foundation fosters student learning | Letter to the editor

To the editor:

As a teacher at Eagle Harbor High School, I see firsthand how Bainbridge Schools Foundation (BSF) cultivates innovative ideas in the classroom and helps create an environment where teachers have the support they need to foster learning for every student.

This year, I received a BSF Classroom Innovation Grant to increase opportunities in real-world STEM learning.

The Tech Team, a group of 16 students, will use this grant to create a K-12 Tech Maker event where students of all ages will participate in hands-on technology activities and take home what they have created. The Tech Team will also go on a field trip to see how specialty computers and servers are built, from design to manufacture.

It takes an island to ensure our schools are on the cutting edge. Thank you to everyone in our community who supports BSF.
