Clean-up idea for next July 4 | Letter to the editor

To the editor:

The lo-o-ng restroom waiting lines at Town & Country Market on the Fourth of July brought out the need for more port-a-potties during our beloved parade and activities. Have we truly anticipated the needs of the crowd — old and young, home-towners and out-of-towners — for this occasion in the Winslow downtown area?

I can remember when T&C was the first to supply restrooms in their store. Oh! What a relief it was! Many an editorial carried the worn-out plea for restrooms downtown prior to that great day.

Maybe we could show a little more gratitude to T&C by tidying up after our use of restroom and lunchrooms and handy outside seating areas! We do it for our doggies!
