Asking for Trump tax returns isn’t American | Letter to the editor

To the editor:

I was surprised finding out of this attempt at voter suppression: The unanimous partisan vote for SB 5078 by state Senate Democrats, including Rolfes and Randall here in Kitsap, to keep President Trump off the ballot by requiring his personal income tax documents made public.

Perhaps they should start with their own.

This is blatant partisanship and not what makes our democratic republic work.

This mentality that both political parties appear to show at times that support legislation that favors one group of people over another is not what America values or stands for.

We should and can be better.
