Appleton represents the people she serves | Letter to the editor

To the editor:

I support Rep. Sherry Appleton in her re-election bid to return to Olympia as our State Representative.

As a 34-year resident of Kitsap, I have watched the county grow and change to reflect its diversity. What has remained steadfast in recent years is our voice in Olympia. Sherry truly represents the people she serves. She is a tireless advocate for our people, our county, and our animals. Whether the issue is veterans, domestic violence, healthcare, the safety of seniors, labor, the rights of the disabled, or the humane treatment of animals, Sherry speaks forcefully to protect our rights. She works collaboratively with all of the government entities in her district, including city, county, and the sovereign nations, to maximize benefits for all of us.

Sherry is honest, forthright, and passionate about those she serves. Through her efforts, our county has secured funding for Fishline, Village Green, Olympic College, and the Humane Society. She has received multiple state awards for her efforts fighting for cities, veterans, elder adults, and animals.

Please join me and re-elect Representative Sherry Appleton!
