Show dates have been announced and tickets are on sale now for Bainbridge Performing Arts’ upcoming production of “Monty Python’s Spamalot.”

The show opens Friday, Dec. 5.

Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” Spamalot retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table — featuring flying cows, killer rabbits, and the diva to end all divas.

The show is being helmed by returning BPA favorite director Ken Michels (“Avenue Q,” “The Full Monty,” “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” “Shrek” and “The Santaland Diaries”).

“When Heather Dawson agreed to choreograph ‘Spamalot,’ the word spectacular came into play,” Michels said. “Come be silly and enjoy a spectacular evening of fun.”

BPA’s own Josh Anderson returns as musical director.

Featuring newcomers and veterans of BPA’s stage, the cast includes Gregory Conn, Ryan Patrick O’Donnell, Jalyn Green, Matthew Cordell, Justin Wayne Lynn, Emily Kight, Olivia Lee, Brittany Hobson, Kayla Teel, Diane Peterson, Rowan Lanning, Hayden Longmire, Jack Hilovsky and many more.

With book and lyrics by Eric Idle and music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle, the show is produced by special arrangement with Theatrical Rights Worldwide.

The production will run Friday, Dec. 5 to Sunday, Dec. 21 with shows at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays as well as 3 p.m. Sunday matinees.

The hilarious production run includes one exception and one addition: the Saturday, Dec. 6 performance is a 3:00 p.m. matinee and there is a special Industry Night performance at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15.

A Pay-What-You-Can Preview will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 and the opening night reception is 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5.

Tickets are $27 for adults, $22 for seniors and $19 for students, youth, military and teachers, and may be purchased online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, by phone at 206-842-8569 or in person at BPA (200 Madison Ave. North).
