"Lakeshore Christmas," the new novel by Bainbridge Island author Susan Wiggs, is getting some bigtime play on Amazon.com's homepage:

The book cover is featured in an ad for the Kindle book reader.

In her latest and sixth in the Lakeshore Chronicles, Wiggs, herself a volunteer at the Bainbridge Public Library, writes about the struggles of local librarian Maureen "Mo" Davenport, in the fictional town of Avalon.

The novel, set during the holiday season, includes cookie recipes and festive songs to play while baking them. For more information, visit her Web site at www.susanwiggs.com.

The book is available to check out at the Bainbridge Public Library or for sale at Eagle Harbor Book Co., and, of course, on Amazon.
