Changing Scene Presents: ‘All the Great Books (Abridged)’
March 13, 2009 · 11:49 AM
Playing now through March 28 at the Panda Inn in Bremerton.
In the true spirit of kaleidoscope theater, Changing Scene just can’t seem to get enough of the mash ups.Following it’s double-run of “The Complete History of America (Abridged),” at the end of last year, the troupe is back with “All the Great Books (Abridged).”
Once again the info-packed romp is being directed by Darren Hembd, accompanied by an authentic Chinese meal at the Panda Inn restaurant and lounge off of Kitsap Way. This time Brianna Osborne (from the Complete History) will share the stage Pavlina Morris and Anna Reihl.
Once again, the production’s premise — covering 86 great works of literature in less than two hours — is completely and utterly ridiculous, but we love them all the more for it.
The show opens tonightand will play through March 28 with curtains at 7 p.m., preceded by dinner at 6:30 p.m., seating at 6 p.m. at the Panda Inn, 4180 Kitsap Way in Bremerton.
Tickets are $25 dinner included (with a limited number of show-only tickets). Since there is also a limited number of seats available, reservations are required by calling (360) 792-8601.
