Love's rhythms are based in funk, R&B and jazz and she has a deep love of traditional country, folk, gospel and bluegrass. She calls her sound  "Afro-Celtic," "Hip-Alachian" or "Folk-Funk."

The Laura Love Trio consists of Love on vocals and electric bass, Orville Johnson on vocals and guitar and Chris Leighton on drums.

Johnson is a sought after studio sideman and record producer, and Leighton has been honored nine times by the Washington State Blues Society as Drummer of the Year.
