The Bainbridge Public Library will participate in the First Friday Art Walk from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 4.

On exhibit this month: “Friends Paint” by Neil Johannsen and Stephen Hubbard, acrylics on canvas and paper.

Johannsen is a retired director of Alaska State Parks and former chief of operations for California State Parks. He holds three degrees in the sciences, but for 50 years art has been his avocation and part-time passion.

It is Johannsen's second show at the library, and the artist is donating all sales to the library.
