String trios by Bach, Haydn and Beethoven kick off free holiday music series

Eagle Harbor Congregational Church is hosting a free music series on Tuesday evenings in December as a holiday gift to the island community.

The short evening concerts will feature instrumental and vocal performances by professional local musicians, and range from classical offerings to singer/songwriter originals.

The series starts at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3. with string trios by Bach, Haydn and Beethoven, featuring Stephen Bryant (violin), Sue Jane Bryant (viola) and Barbara Deppe (cello).

The following concert is 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10. Singer/songwriter Lori Dreier offers songs of love, hope and joy, with Shelly Huffman (vocals) and Carol Estes (piano).

The series concludes at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17 with An Evening of Bach with Alexia Christante (piano).

Eagle Harbor Congregational Church is at 105 Winslow Way West.

The concerts will run an hour or less and are offered at no charge, though artist donations are always appreciated.
