Field’s End will present the class, “Just What the Doctor Ordered! Adding Credible Medical Content to Your Work” for fiction and nonfiction writers next week.

The one-day class is Sunday, Sept. 22 and will help writers learn how to adequately research and describe medical situations for readers. Learn from a writer and doctor the “inside” vocabulary particular to the medical world. Apply the nuances of medical conversation to make writing more authentic. Ask your medical questions and come prepared for informal writing exercises to enhance your skills.

Linda Gromko is a board-certified family practice physician and founder of Queen Anne Medical Associates. She has written multiple blogs and three books, the most recent being “’Let Me Go When the Banter Stops’ - A Doctor’s Fight for the Love of Her Life” (2012).

The class is 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22 at the Bainbridge Public Library. The class fee is $60. Registration is open at www.fieldsend.org.

Field’s End, an affiliate of the Bainbridge Public Library, offers workshops, classes and other events focusing on the art, craft and profession of writing.
