Youth poetry workshop this week at the library

The Bainbridge Public Library hosts a haiku and poetry workshop at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 17.

Kids in the first through fourth grades can learn about this short, fun form of poetry — and start writing some of your own at this free workshop.

Haikus are made up of just 17 syllables or less, and kids will get to explore their creativity and try expressing ideas in just a few words.

We encourage an open exchange of ideas on this story's topic, but we ask you to follow our guidelines for respecting community standards. Personal attacks, inappropriate language, and off-topic comments may be removed, and comment privileges revoked, per our Terms of Use. Please see our FAQ if you have questions or concerns about using Facebook to comment.
